GLEASON: Services for Kathleen Summers Peery, 79, were at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6 at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with the Revs. Terry Griffin, Tom Winchester and Dwayne Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the West Union Cemetery. Mrs. Peery, owner and operator of Ore Springs Grocery, factory worker and caregiver to the elderly, died on Sunday, May 4 at her residence. She was born in Weakley County to the late Zobulyn and Iva Watson Summers. He was a factory worker and care giver to the elderly. She was also a member of the West Union Baptist Church in Dresden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred William Peery. Survivors include two daughters, Shara P. Goode of Dresden and Karen P. Jones of Paris; two sisters, Lucretia Gallimore of Dresden and Shirley Vaice of Bear, California; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
