     Eugenie Reed was born circa 1810 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Reed and Marie LeJeune.1 She married Louis Fontenot on 5 September 1826 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1
