     Lieutenant Terry Joseph Charlton Jr. was born on 31 May 1916 at Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.1 He was the son of Professor Terry Joseph Charlton and Bobbie Blanche Hubert.1 He married Elizabeth Merrell circa 1939.2 He enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Corps on 6 March 1942 at Houston, Harris County, Texas.3 He ended his service as a 'Tuskeegee Airman' when he was discharged from the U. S. Army on 9 February 1946.4 He died on 20 December 1988 at Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, at age 72 years, 6 months and 20 days.1 He was buried at Anthony Cemetery, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.1
