     Louis Hebert was born circa 1770 at Halifax, Nova Scotia.1 He was the son of Joseph Hebert and Francoise Hebert.1 A contract for the marriage of Louis Hebert and Francoise Broussard was signed on 3 October 1789 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2 He married Francoise Broussard, daughter of Augustin Broussard and Anne Landry, on 6 October 1789 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 He married Francoise Broussard circa 1807.1 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Francoise Broussard, before 12 August 1817.1 He married Marie Victorie Guilbeaux, daughter of Francois Guilbeaux and Magdeleine Broussard, on 12 August 1817 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1
