     Charles Lavergne was born circa 1830.1 He and Celestine Bourque obtained a marriage license on 14 July 1855 at St. Landry Parish Courthouse, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He married Celestine Bourque, daughter of Charles Bourque and Celeste Hebert, on 26 July 1855 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1
