     Elizabeth Ann Goodnight was born on 10 February 1834 at Macoupin County, Illinois.1 She was the daughter of Charles Foxwing Goodnight and Charlotte Collier.1 She appeared on the census of 21 October 1850 in the household of Charlotte Daugherty at Milam and Williamson District, Milam County, Texas.2 She married Alfred Lane on 16 June 1851.1,3 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Alfred Lane, on 15 July 1864 at Young County, Texas.3 She married Ashel McLaren on 14 February 1867 at Palo Pinto County, Texas.4,1,5 She died on 19 May 1884 at Oran, Palo Pinto County, Texas, at age 50 years, 3 months and 9 days.1 She was buried at Crawford Cemetery, Palo Pinto County, Texas.1
