     Dave Spell Sargent was born on 25 August 1886 at Polk County, Texas.1 He was the son of Argalus George Sargent and Julia Ann Spell.1 He appeared as a son on the census of 1 June 1900 in the household of Argalus George Sargent and Julia Ann Sargent at Pct 7, Mobile, Tyler County, Texas.1 He married Nona Lee Puckett on 17 March 1906 at Tyler County, Texas.2,3 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Nona Lee Sargent, on 22 August 1921 at Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.4,5 He married Janie White circa 1923.6 He died on 12 March 1963 at Beauregard Parish, Louisiana, at age 76 years, 6 months and 15 days.7,8 He was buried at Hampton Memorial Cemetery, Dogwood Street, Elizabeth, Allen Parish, Louisiana.9
