     Numas Luc Nezat was born on 8 July 1882 at Port Barre, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Jean Adolphe Nezat and Donatie Frioux.2 He was baptized on 31 July 1882 at Church of St. Leo The Great, 126 Church Road, Leonville, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, at age 23 days.1 Numas Luc Nezat also went by the name of Numa Luke. Numas Luc is the French spelling of Numa Luke. In both French and English it is pronounced as Newmuh Luke. He married Alicia Mary Nezat, daughter of Marcel Nezat and Marie Alicia Marks, on 18 January 1904 at Church of St. Leo The Great, 126 Church Road, Leonville, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.6 He and Alicia Mary Nezat were related to each other as second cousins once removed. He was the father of Lawrence Wilford Nezat baptized on 2 November 1906 at Church of St. Leo The Great, 126 Church Road, Leonville, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.7 He and his wife Alicia Mary Nezat appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at 3rd Ward, Port Barre, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.8 He was employed as a driver of a log wagon on 15 April 1910 at 3rd Ward, Port Barre, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.9 He was a member from circa 1916 until his death at St. Mary Catholic Church, 912 W.
