     Philomene Nezat was born on 20 January 1847 at Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.2,1 She was the daughter of Pierre Alexandre Nezat and Virginie Marcel Patin.2 She may have been born circa 1844.3 She appeared as a daughter on the census of 2 October 1850 in the household of Pierre Alexandre Nezat and Virginie Marcel Patin at St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3 She and Paul Alexandre Roy may have been married on 25 November 1865 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.4 She married Paul Alexandre Roy, son of Pierre Ulger Roy and Nanette Zilia Nezat, on 5 December 1865 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.5 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Alexandre Roy, before 18 February 1889.6 She was listed as the wife in the succession of Alexandre Roy on 18 February 1889 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.6 She and Louis Michel Carriere may have been married on 31 January 1891 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.7 She married Louis Michel Carriere, son of Onesime Carriere and Louisa Roy, on 5 February 1891.8 She died on 16 April 1920 at Rusk, Cherokee County, Texas, at age 73 years, 2 months and 27 days.1 She was buried at State Hospital Cemetery, Rusk, Cherokee County, Texas.1
