Marcus Newton Wood

     Marcus Newton Wood was born on 18 February 1849 at Whitfield County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of John Hamilton Wood Sr. and Lucinda Hall.¹ He appeared on the census of 19 August 1850 at Mill Creek, Whitfield County, Georgia. He appeared on the census of 5 July 1860 at Mill Creek, Whitfield County, Georgia. He appeared on the census of August 1870 at Mill Creek, Whitfield County, Georgia. He married Elizabeth Martha Katherine Lowery circa 1874.¹ He appeared on the census of 16 June 1880 at Mill Creek, Whitfield County, Georgia. He died on 15 April 1895 at Mill Creek, Whitfield County, Georgia, at age 46 years, 1 month and 28 days.¹ He was buried in April 1895 at Babb/Mill Creek Cemetery, Whitfield County, Georgia.¹
