     Francois Bergeau was born circa 1817.1 He was the son of Joseph Bergeau Sr.2 He and Euphrasie Roy may have been married on 31 December 1835 at St. Landry Parish Courthouse, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He married Euphrasie Roy, daughter of Noel Jacques Roy and Celeste Wyble, on 11 January 1836 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1
