     Simon Bernard was born circa 1789.1 He was the son of Pierre Bernard and Anasthasie Breaux.1 He married Sitalise Genevieve Carmouche circa 1810.1 He was listed as a son in the succession of Pierre Bernard on 8 September 1813 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1
