     Helene Brasseux was born circa 1775.1 She was the daughter of Blaise Brasseux and Anne Prejean.2 She was the godmother of Alexandre Brasseux baptized on 30 November 1788 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3,4 She married Francois Richard, son of Pierre Joseph Richard and Marguerite Dugas, on 8 January 1798 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1,2 She died before 31 January 1826.5
