     Marie Mathilde Neraut was born circa 1795.1 She was the daughter of Andre Neraut and Marie Louise Prudhomme.1 She married Michel Mayer, son of Andre Mayer and Marie Anne Stelly, on 13 July 1812 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1,2 She was the godmother of Aloyse Lalonde baptized on 10 January 1819 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3
