Alice Lafond1

     Alice Lafond was born on 19 August 1868.1,2 She married Antoine Close, son of Jean Pierre Close and Josephine Robin, on 7 August 1889 at Cathedral of St. John, 914 St. John Street, Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.1 She died from influenza on 30 March 1947 at Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas, at age 78 years, 7 months and 11 days.2 She was buried at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2
