     Charles Alexandre Ledoux was born circa 1795 at St. James Parish, Louisiana.1 He was the son of Antoine Ledoux and Marguerite Gaudet.1 He married Susanne Cormier, daughter of Michel Cormier and Ludivine Guilbeau, on 23 April 1811 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1 He was the godfather of Theogene Bertrand baptized on 3 May 1818 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2 He was the godfather of Cesaire Cormier baptized on 23 November 1834 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3
