     Joseph Sonnier was born circa 1770.1 He was the godfather of Anne Beatrice Granger baptized on 22 February 1786 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He married Marie Thibodeaux circa 1790.1
