     Louis Savoy was born circa 1807 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 He was the son of Francois Savoy and Appoline Lucie Potier.1,2 He married Marie Celeste Boudreaux, daughter of Augustin Boudreaux Jr. and Francoise Ritter, on 15 January 1827 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2
