     Josephine Stelly was born circa 31 March 1812 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 She was the daughter of Michel Baptiste Stelly and Francoise Josephine Robin.1 She was baptized on 31 October 1812 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 She was the godmother of Valmond Stelly baptized on 24 December 1826 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 She married Alexandre Castille, son of Jean Baptiste Castille and Julie Stelly, on 5 February 1827 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3,4 She died before 19 March 1838.3
