James Caruthers1

     James Caruthers was born circa 1798.1 He was the son of James Caruthers and Elizabeth Saunders.1 He married Marceline LeBlanc, daughter of Charles LeBlanc and Marie Quintero, on 27 July 1819 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1
