Andrew Jackson Hayes

     Andrew Jackson Hayes may have been born at Arkansas.³ He was born on 21 March 1870 at Louisiana.^1,2 He was the son of John Mathew Hayes and Malinda Ann Green.¹ He appeared as a son on the census of 22 June 1880 in the household of John M. Hayes and Molinda Hayes at 4th Ward, Bienville Parish, Louisiana.¹ He married Octa Magnolia Brown circa 1890.² He and his wife Maggie Hayes appeared on the census of 10 January 1920 at 2612 Dillard Street, Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana.³ He was employed as a farmer on 10 January 1920 at Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana.³ He appeared as the father-in-law on the census of 10 April 1930 in the household of Charles F. Grimes and Fannie Mae Grimes at 350 Oakley Drive, Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana.⁴ He was employed as a policeman directing school traffic on 10 April 1930 at Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana.⁴ He died on 16 June 1959 at age 89 years, 2 months and 26 days.²
