He was retired as a butcher at Italy, Ellis County, Texas.1 He lived at South Ward Street, Italy, Ellis County, Texas, before his death.1 He died of a heart attack in the yard at the home of Miss Alma Pittman at 7:30 am on 28 July 1952 at Italy, Ellis County, Texas, at age 73 years, 7 months and 25 days.1 He was buried on 30 July 1952 at Milford Cemetery, Milford, Ellis County, Texas.1
