     Pelagie Doucet was born circa 1783.1 She was the daughter of Pierre Doucet and Marie Magdeleine Comau.1 She married Joseph Daigle, son of Etienne Daigle and Marianne Tayon, on 19 July 1803 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 She was the godmother of Alexandre Daigle baptized on 11 July 1823 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2
