     Theodore Ardoin was born on 10 July 1866 at Ville Platte, Evangeline Parish, Louisiana.1 He was the son of Francois Ardoin and Alcidie Fuselier.1 He and Ellia Fontenot may have been married on 2 June 1888 at St. Landry Parish Courthouse, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He married Ellia Fontenot, daughter of Henry Fontenot and Louisa Fontenot, on 19 June 1888 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Eunice, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3
