Robert Groston de Saint-Ange was born circa 1670 at Chatillon-sur-Seine, diocese of Langres, province of Champagne, France
.1 He was the son of Jean Groston and Marie Rebourceau.1 He married Marguerite Crevier in 1692.1 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Marguerite Crevier, on 7 June 1707 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1 As of between 1718 and 1729, Robert Groston de Saint-Ange lived in the Illinois Territory, French Louisiana.2 He married Elisabeth Chorel de Saint-Romain, daughter of Francois Chorel de Saint-Romain dit d'Orvilliers and Marie Anne Aubuchon, on 24 March 1718 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.3,1 He died in June 1740.1
