     Mary Elizabeth Collier was born on 25 August 1805 at Charlotte County, Virginia.1,2,3 She may have been born at Virginia.4 She was the daughter of Benjamin Columbus Collier II and Margaret Peggy Lane. Mary Elizabeth Collier also went by the name of Polly. She married James Delaware Freeman, son of Thomas James Freeman and Dorcas Viney Johnson, on 16 September 1824 at Early County, Georgia.5 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, James Delaware Freeman, on 29 August 1844 at Early County, Georgia. She married William L. Caswell circa 1846 at Georgia. She appeared on the census of 19 September 1850 at Division 25, Early County, Georgia, in the household of her husband William L. Caswell.4 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, William L. Caswell, before 12 July 1860.6 She appeared on the census of 12 July 1860 at Woodville, Tyler County, Texas.2 She appeared as the mother on the census of 30 July 1870 in the household of James Torrence Freeman and Columbia Freeman at Tyler County, Texas.7 She appeared on the census of 11 June 1880 at Tyler County, Texas.8 She was buried after 1 June 1880 at Beech Creek Baptist Cemetery, CR 4540, Spurger, Tyler County, Texas.9,1 She died after 1 June 1880 at Tyler County, Texas.9
