     Eli Warren Freeman was born on 3 October 1839 at Early County, Georgia. He was the son of James Delaware Freeman and Mary Elizabeth Collier. Caswell and Mary Elizabeth Caswell at Division 25, Early County, Georgia.1 James Gautney Collier was appointed Guardian of Eli Warren Freeman in the Guardianship on 13 January 1851 at Early County, Georgia. He appeared as a son on the census of 12 July 1860 in the household of Mary Elizabeth Freeman at Woodville, Tyler County, Texas.2 He married Jane Ferguson on 20 July 1863 at Tyler County, Texas.3,4 He and his wife Jane Ferguson appeared on the census of 29 July 1870 at Tyler County, Texas.4 He was employed as a farmer on 29 July 1870 at Tyler County, Texas.4
