     Austin Mott was born on 22 December 1919 in Church Point, Acadia Parish, Louisiana.2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Stephen Mott and Orelia Jeanise.7,8 He appeared as a son on the census of 18 February 1920 in the household of Stephen Mott and Orelia Jeanise at Police Jury Ward 3, Acadia Parish, Louisiana.9 He appeared as a son on the census of 26 April 1930 in the household of Stephen Mott and Orelia Mott at Pct 2, Orange County, Texas.10 He appeared as a son on the census of 12 April 1940 in the household of Stephen Mott and Orelia Mott at Pct 2, Orange County, Texas.11 He registered for military service in 1942 at Orange County, Texas.3 He began military service on 17 July 1942 at Houston, Harris County, Texas, as a private in the United States Army.2,4 He was described as being 5' 10" tall and weighed 166 pounds when he enlisted in the United States Army on 17 July 1942 at Houston, Harris County, Texas.2 He married Viola Agnes Nezat, daughter of Numas Luc Nezat and Alicia Mary Nezat, on 2 December 1942 at Orange County, Texas.1,12 He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a TEC 4 (Private) in the U. S. Army, Anti-Tank Company, 80th Infantry Division.4 He died from a bullet wound in the abdomen in World War II, on 4 December 1944, at France, at age 24 years, 11 months and 12 days. He was killed in action right before the beginning of the "Battle of the Bulge" which began 16 Dec 1944.13,4,5 He was buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Meeks Drive, Orange, Orange County, Texas.5,4,6
