     Bertha Josephine Nezat was born on 21 June 1892 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2,1 She was the daughter of Marcel Nezat and Marie Alicia Marks.1 She and Marie Philomene Nezat were twins. She appeared as a daughter on the census of 25 June 1900 in the household of Marcel Nezat and Marie Alicia Nezat at 1st Ward, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3 She appeared as a sister on the census of 7 May 1910 in the household of Bussy Nezat at 3rd Ward, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.4 She married Simon Phillip Walker, son of John Wesley Walker and Martha Hanes, on 31 July 1919 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.5 She appeared on the census of 26 April 1930 at Middle Fork Township, Forsyth County, North Carolina, in the household of her husband Simon Phillip Walker.6 She and Simon Phillip Walker were in a group photo with their eight girls circa 1940. She and Simon Phillip Walker lived at 937 Hutton Street, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina.2 She died from lymphoepithelioma at 12:00 pm on 13 April 1958 at her home at 937 Hutton Street, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina, at age 65 years, 9 months and 23 days.2,1,5 She was buried on 15 April 1958 at Montview Memorial Park, Forsyth County, North Carolina.2
