Simon Alto Sherrod

     Simon Alto Sherrod was born on 4 February 1914.1,2 He was the son of Ethan Allen Sherrod and Aeaner Melvina Samford.3 He died from an infection in a cuticle (blood poisoning, remember there was no penicillin in those days) on 5 January 1916 at age 1 year, 11 months and 1 day.1,2 He was buried at Antioch Cemetery, Center, Shelby County, Texas.2
