Ethan Allen Sherrod was born on 22 March 1882 at Nacogdoches County, Texas
.1 He was the son of George Washington Sherrod and Emily Ann Moody.2 Ethan Allen Sherrod also went by the name of Allie. He appeared as a son on the census of 23 June 1900 in the household of G. W. Sherrod and Emily Ann Sherrod at Pct 6, Shelby County, Texas.2 He married Aeaner Melvina Samford on 4 March 1903 at Shelby County, Texas.3 He and Aeaner Melvina Samford may have been married on 3 March 1903.4 He and his wife Aeaner Melvina Sherrod appeared on the census of 20 April 1910 at Pct 6, Shelby County, Texas.5 He registered for military service on 12 September 1918 at Center, Shelby County, Texas.6 As of 12 September 1918, Ethan Allen Sherrod and Vinnie Sherrod lived at Route 3, Center, Shelby County, Texas.6 He and his wife Aeaner Melvina Samford appeared on the census of 13 January 1920 at Pct 1, Shelby County, Texas.7 He and his wife Aeaner Melvina Samford appeared on the census of 28 April 1930 at Pct 1, Shelby County, Texas.8 He became a widower upon the death of his wife, Aeaner Melvina Samford, on 10 July 1963 at Mansfield, Desoto Parish, Louisiana.1 He died from a cerebral hemorrhage at 4:20 pm on 10 June 1965 at Shelby General Hospital, Center, Shelby County, Texas, at age 83 years, 2 months and 19 days.9,1 He was buried on 12 June 1965 at Antioch Cemetery, Center, Shelby County, Texas.9,10Children of Ethan Allen Sherrod and Aeaner Melvina Samford
