     Margaret Emily Butler was born on 12 May 1861 at Magnolia, Columbia County, Arkansas.1 She was the daughter of Isaac Jason Butler and Martha Ann Hancock. She appeared as a daughter on the census of 1 June 1880 in the household of Isaac Jason Butler and Martha Ann Butler at Buena Vista Township, Columbia County, Arkansas.2 She married Eli Fields on 16 December 1880 at Columbia County, Arkansas.3,4 She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Eli Fields, on 4 January 1931 at Magnolia, Columbia County, Arkansas.5 She died on 27 April 1958 at Taylor, Columbia County, Arkansas, at age 96 years, 11 months and 15 days.1 She was buried at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rocky Mound, Columbia County, Arkansas.1
