     Alexandre Arceneaux was born circa 1782 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1,2 He was the son of Pierre Arceneaux and Marie Anne Bergeron.1 He was listed as a son in the succession of Pierre Arceneaux in 1793 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 He was the godfather of Francois Placide Guilbeaux baptized on 3 May 1795 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4 He married Helena Carmouche, daughter of Pierre Carmouche and Genevieve Rousseau, on 1 March 1802 at Donaldsonville, Ascension Parish, Louisiana.1
