     Cyprien Arceneaux was born circa 1784 at St. James Parish, Louisiana.1,2 He was the son of Pierre Arceneaux and Marie Anne Bergeron.1 He was listed as a son in the succession of Pierre Arceneaux in 1793 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 He married Adelaide Mouton, daughter of Jean Frederick Mouton and Anastasie Cormier, on 13 May 1805 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4,5 He witnessed the marriage contract of William Beard and Marie Silesie Bourg on 25 May 1817 at St. Landry Parish Courthouse, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.6
