     Francois Aurien Arceneaux was born on 16 February 1808 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1,2 He was the son of Cyprien Arceneaux and Adelaide Mouton.1 He was baptized on 14 March 1808 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, at age 27 days.1,2 He witnessed the marriage contract of William Beard and Marie Silesie Bourg on 25 May 1817 at St. Landry Parish Courthouse, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3
