     Marguerite Broussard was born circa 1760.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Broussard and Marguerite Savoie.1 She married Jean Baptiste Bernard, son of Michel Bernard and Marie Guilbeau, on 25 June 1782 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2,1 She was the godmother of Francois Placide Guilbeaux baptized on 3 May 1795 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 She became the godmother at Marguerite Broussard's christening on 12 July 1801 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.4
