     Marie Apolone Martin was born circa 1775 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1,2 She was the daughter of Claude Martin and Marie Babin.1 She married Jean Baptiste Cormier dit Mano, son of Jean Baptiste Cormier and Marguerite Bourg, on 31 May 1796 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.1
