     Celeste Cormier was born circa 1805.1 She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Cormier dit Mano and Marie Apolone Martin.1 She was the godmother of Virginie Cormier baptized on 8 May 1821 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 She married Narcisse Dugas, son of Joseph Dugas and Celeste Dugas, on 16 May 1821 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Grand Coteau, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 She was listed as the wife in the succession of Narcisse Dugas on 30 March 1847 at Lafayette Parish Courthouse, Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.3
