     Silvere Neraut was born circa 1810.1 He was the son of Jean Baptiste Neraut and Felicite Prejean.2 He married Marguerite Elvige Chautin, daughter of Jacques Andre Chautin and Elise Marguerite Edwige Bergeron, on 31 January 1832 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.2 He died before 6 October 1837 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3 He was the subject of a succession filed on 6 October 1837 at St. Martin Parish Courthouse, 400 S Main Street, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.3
