     Jean Baptiste Neraut was born circa 1780.1 He married Felicite Prejean circa 1797 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1 He witnessed the marriage of Georges Mayer and Lise Berette Marks on 18 October 1808 at Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.2 He witnessed the marriage of Andre Mayer Jr. and Delphine Neraut on 5 August 1817 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.3 He died before 1 August 1826.4 He witnessed the marriage of Jean Baptiste Bergeron and Delphine Guidroz on 7 September 1830 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.5,6 He was the godfather of Marie Palmire Guidroz baptized on 21 July 1832 at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.1
