     Billy Gene Bowman was born on 17 April 1926 at Dardanelle, Yell County, Arkansas.1,2 He married Evelyn Iris Schillings, daughter of Earnest Iley Schillings and Levonia Sherrod, circa 1945.3 He died from a fractured skull and crushed chest as a result of his car striking a culvert at approximately 10:00 pm on 10 June 1961 at Greens Road at Aldine-Westfield Road, Harris County, Texas, at age 35 years, 1 month and 24 days.1,2 He was buried on 12 June 1961 at Rosewood Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2602 South Houston Avenue, Humble, Harris County, Texas.2
