     Azelia Dugas was born circa 17 December 1825.1 She was the daughter of Narcisse Dugas and Celeste Cormier.1 She was baptized on 17 September 1826 at Cathedral of St. John, 914 St. John Street, Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.1 She married Theogene Begnaud on 12 August 1842 at Lafayette Parish Courthouse, Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.2
