Jane McChristian

     Jane McChristian was born on 9 March 1800 at Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee.^1,2 She married Stokely H. Enochs circa 1820.² She became a widow upon the death of her husband, Stokely H. Enochs, on 18 November 1826 at Carroll County, Tennessee.^1,2 She married Andrew Norman Hopkins, son of John Hopkins and Rebecca Phillips, on 26 March 1829.² She appeared on the census of 24 September 1850 at Austin, Travis County, Texas, in the household of her husband Andrew Hopkins.³ She died at 10 pm on 1 January 1854 at Austin, Travis County, Texas, at age 53 years, 9 months and 23 days.² She was buried in Section 1, Lot 109 at Oakwood Cemetery, 1601 Navasota, Austin, Travis County, Texas.⁴
